Bo Bludworth has a wealth of political experience on the federal level. Starting his career in the United States Army in 1967, Mr. Bludworth served as a Helicopter and Ground Platoon Leader in the Republic of Vietnam, where he was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Bronze Star, Silver Star and 2 Distinguished Flying Cross Medals for Heroism.
Known as “Mr. Jacksonville”, Eric Smith has made quite a footprint in Florida politics. Eric served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, and served as President of the Jacksonville City Council for two terms.
Paige Carter-Smith, a native Floridian, possesses a wealth of knowledge of the intricacies of government and politics in the sunshine state. As a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Atlanta with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science, Ms. Carter-Smith returned to Florida and immediately became involved in the political process. Ms. Carter-Smith lobbied the Florida Legislature on behalf of Larry J. Overton & Associates and then went on to serve as a government consultant for Cobb Cole & Bell.
While still in law school in 1993, Mr. Maddox, then 24, was elected the youngest City Commissioner in Tallahassee's history. A year later, in 1994, his fellow commissioners elected him Mayor pro-tempore, and in 1995 they elected him mayor. In 1996, the citizens of Tallahassee passed a referendum calling for a new "leadership" mayor directly elected by the residents to serve a four-year term. Tallahassee citizens then elected Mr. Maddox as Tallahassee's first leadership mayor in February 1997.
Few people have left the legacy in government that Speaker Don Tucker has made in the state of Florida. After his service in the United States Army, Don Tucker attended Brigham Young University, and the University Of Florida School Of Law, earning both a juris doctorate and one of the top scores on the Florida Bar Exam.
After eight years as a host and producer on public television, Gary was elected to the Leon County Commission in 1986. During his dozen years in public office he served twice as Commission Chairman and six years as Chairman of the Tourist Development Council.
